Rhonda Peña winner of HEB Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement Award!

Bryan Elementary is proud to announce that our very own, Mrs. Rhonda Peña, fifth grade teacher has been selected as the winner of the HEB Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement Award! Our staff and students welcomed her back from the ceremony with a warm welcome. We are so proud of her! She does so much for our students and staff! We love you Mrs. Rhonda Peña! Well deserved! Our school received a $25,000 grant. She received $25,000 in cash!

Bryan Elementary Staff Treated to Spa Day!

What a way to kick off Teacher Appreciation Week! Our staff enjoyed getting pampered by our very own VMHS Cosmetology Department! We were treated to facials, hairdos, and nails. Along with the spa treatments we were able to enjoy some delicious desserts. Thank you to our administration and VMHS Cosmetology for this relaxing day!

Literacy Night!

Our Bryan Literacy Night was a huge success! The students loved listening to Judge Keno Vasquez read "Oh, The Places You'll Go!" After the read aloud students were able to visit centers with different reading activites tied to the theme of Dr. Seuss. Happy National Library Week!

Career Day!

We would like to thank The Border Patrol, Mission PD, STC, Mission Hospital NICU, Rodeo Dental, Mission Fire Department, Medcare EMS Ambulance Service, and The Army for helping make our Career Day a huge success! Also, a big thanks to our wonderful counselor, Mrs. Cynthia Ibañez, for organizing such an edcational event!

Texas Reads One Book!

Students had a blast listening to Dallas Cowboy's Coach Garrett read the first chapter of the book called Lemonade War. Parents were invited to come and join their children in the library to work on a craft that went with the theme. They enjoyed working while having some cookies and a cup of cold lemonade. Reading tips and suggestions were given by our librarian and parent liaison. Students will read the rest of the book with their parents at home.

Books Comes Alive Competition!

Our third graders came in second place for the Books Comes Alive Competition! Their reward is a visit from some Gladys Porter Zoo animals on May 11th! The students are beyond excited and can't wait for this day.
