Curbside Student Health Screenings

Bryan Bear Families in accordance with Texas Health and Safety Code requirements for vision, hearing and spinal screenings are required for the 2020-2021 school year. Curbside appointments will commence, your child will come into the building to get screened while parents wait in their vehicle. There will only be the screeners and the student in the screening area to avoid crowding and keep in compliance with CDC recommendations (6 ft. apart, wear masks and shields, and no crowds). Temperatures will be taken before entering the building.

What: Mandatory Health Screening for Vision, Hearing, and Spinal

When: Friday, December 4, 2020 and Monday, December 7, 2020

Where: Bryan Elementary

Who: 5th graders and 4th graders

In lieu of the screening(s) provided by the school:

· Parent or guardians may provide screening record signed by a licensed professional (a form can be provided for you to get filled out the professional)

· Parents or guardians may provide signed statement that the vision, hearing, and spinal screening conflicts with the tenets and practices of a church or religious denomination of which the affiant is an adherent or member
